Avington Park

Avington Park is a magnificent paladian mansion set in its own parkland grounds. It has pillars and statues, fountain and lake, conservatories and orangery. Some of the rooms are most beautifully painted and gilded while others are less ornate in trompe l'oeil. There is Georgian, Tudor and Victorian architecture with sweeping lawns leading to the River Itchen.
