Escot Country Park and Gardens

Escot Country Park and Gardens is 220 acres of stunning 18th century parkland and gardens filled with rare shrubs and magnificent trees, and teeming with wildlife. There are otters and wild boar, red squirrels and impressive displays by birds of prey. In 2002, the formal gardens and woodland of this beautiful estate are being transformed by Ivan Hicks, one of the foremost landscape gardener-artists of our age. Ivan, a familiar face on British television, especially through BBC Gardeners' World, is well known for his magical and surreal garden designs. He will be weaving his magic throughout 2002, and visitors will be able to catch exciting glimpses of the transformation as it takes place. Visitors of all generations are fully catered for in the 'Totally New Gardens Experience' and everybody will be tempted to enjoy some of Escot's delicious home cooking to round off an unusual and rewarding visit.
