Harewood House

In the Grounds, landscaped by 'Capability' Brown, are lakeside and woodland walks, a magnificent collection of Rhododendron (April - June) and Sir Charles Barry's parterre Terrace, complete with box scrolls and seasonal bedding. Harewood Bird Garden has one of the most comprehensive collections of rare and exotic species in the country, including many endangered birds from Africa, America and Australia. Special events include open air concerts and car rallies, plus regularly changing exhibitions in the Watercolour Rooms and contemporary art Gallery, and for groups 'Behind the Scenes' visits to the Old Kitchen.
