Kinnersley Castle was one of the many Marches castles sited by the Normans along the Welsh border. Predominantly a remodelled Elizabethan Manor House featuring fine oak panelled rooms and an original 1588 plasterwork ceiling. 8 acres of grounds contain some remarkable yew hedges, a walled kitchen garden and one of the biggest Ginkgo Biloba trees in the country. Next to the Castle stands the Norman Church with unusual C.13th tower & wall paintings by Bodley.
