Mellerstain House

Mellerstain House, the home of the Earl and Countess of Haddington, is one of Scotland's finest Georgian mansions. Designed by William and Robert Adam it is famous for its ceilings, superb collection of paintings and fine period furniture. Surrounded by parkland, gardens with attractive parterres and terraces, and a lake, it provides a relaxed day out. The restaurant, grounds and shops open at 11.30am and close at 5.30pm. Closed on Saturdays. The house opens from 12.30 - 5.00pm. Last admission 4.30pm. Closed on Saturdays
