From the original six trees on a windswept hilltop to the delightful and imaginatively planted garden of today, Hyde Hall is the result of 40 years of dedication and inspiration. Donated to the society in 1993, a programme of development and improvement has been put into place, in order that the garden best fulfil its role as a regional centre. Home to the National Plant Collection of Viburnum, the garden has also become well known for its superb collection of roses. Both modern and old fashioned roses are displayed here, together with a large number of climbers and ramblers, many of which are pruned and trained in interesting and unusual styles.
