Gardens only open to the public. Sheldon Manor is Wiltshire's oldest inhabited manor house. The porch is 13th century and there is a 15th century chapel. Romantic, peaceful gardens with ancient yews, a mulberry tree and a profusion of old fashioned roses blooming late May, through June and July. The gardens are open Thursday and Sunday afternoons and Bank Holidays. Afternoon tea is available. Picnic lunches for groups by prior arrangement. The house and gardens are available for private events and celebrations.
